EUROPE
Countries
???
54 Countries. To date I’ve seen with my own eyes and felt with my own feet 48 of them. Ever heard of Pokemon’s “gotta catch them all”? Well this is as close as it gets. At the time of this writing, Pokemon Detective Pikachu is in theaters near you. Not to self. :)
Europe was my THIRD continent and like so much in life, I owe that to my parents. I genuinely did not want to travel, but luckily I did. It’s true that sometimes you become more appreciative of the decisions your parents make for you, and take away from you. As a kid you always want the freedom to make your own choices, to have free summers to do what at the moment was so important to you, but looking back was an excess of frivolity.
In my lifetime, I went on three bus tours with my parents. One from New York down to Memphis, Tennessee. A flight to California to a bus back east to the Grand Canyon. AND the one that brought me through my first portion of Europe.
England, France, Italy, Vatican City, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium.
Yes the geography still gets hazy, but I still remember it was those were the special seven.
Now with six to go, I know I owe it to mom and dad.
